Stuff the Bus continues

Day 2: Stuff the Bus!!!

-Well my first night in the bus was very interesting. It was more comfortable than I thought. I couldn't have done this stunt last week. To get an idea of how hot it is in the bus, take the outside temp and add about 15 degrees.

-If anyone is interested in becoming part of a "thrash metal" band and running off to California... there are two meth heads who stopped by the bus last night and told me all about it...

Day two started off with the fact that I have to GET MORE SLEEP!!! I feel like Ed Norton in Fight Club!

-Dr. Hall from Urgentcare came by and gave me a checkup. She is really worried about my lack of sleep along with hydration and the heat factor of living inside the metal bus. All of my vital signs were OK... but that would change with the heat and humidity today.

Noon

-It's hot! Zaxby's is smelling really good!

-Army! Navy! Air Force! Marines! I got to talk with all four branches today! Their pick for BEST military movie... Saving Private Ryan... WORST...Jarhead.

* Special thanks goes out to Angie for the HTML support

Day one of Stuff The Bus

Monday July 24th

Day One!!!!

-966 CUBIC FEET!!! That's how much it's going to take to stuff the bus! Looks like I might be here for a while!

-There is actually a lot of room to move around in the bus. I should be able to stretch out tonight and actually get some sleep. I couldn't have done this stunt last week in the heat. This bus is still really, really, hot!!

-It takes man power to pull this off. Thanks to Southern Electric and Lighting for their help this morning. Also Axe from 103.7 The Point. He sat here early and ran cable and wire for about three hours!!!

-Kristen is actually back at the studio keeping us on the air this week. She does a great job.

-Also a big thanks to Chris Harp. He's keeping my blog and the website updated during my stay in the bus.

-O.K.... After five hours in this bus I have done everything humanly possible...

11:30 AM

- I am having email withdrawal

-I had my first Big Mac in over two years!!! I'm sorry South Beach Diet! :(
This week I'm falling off the wagon!

3:15 PM

-It was great getting to hang out with Kellie and Bratcher from 103.7 It's really good to see all the cross promotion of the EVENT.

-I've been here for NINE hours now and I'm already feeling like Desmond on Lost when he was in the underground hatch.

Sam's Stuff the Bus

First ever event of its kind will seek donations of school supplies for underprivileged children.

BOWLING GREEN, KY - In an effort to provide local underprivileged children with school supplies, SAM 100.7 FM WKLX has created “Stuff the Bus.” Beginning Monday July 24th, the station will broadcast an around the clock radiothon attempting to fill a school bus with supplies donated by listeners.

“Stuff the Bus” will kick off at 6:00 am, when one of Bowling Green's top radio personalities, Tony Rose, will broadcast his morning show from the bus. Rose has vowed to camp out inside the bus until it is full.

“This event is the first of it's kind in Bowling Green,” said Rose, “I think it will be a lot of fun, and even though I may have to spend a few uncomfortable nights on the bus it's all for a really good cause. We look forward to being able to give these kids the basic tools they need to be successful.”

The event will be held at Bluegrass Cellular on Campbell Lane and will feature around the clock updates of the effort. Listeners will be encouraged to donate basic school supplies that will be made available for families that otherwise would not be able to afford them.

For more information on the first ever “Stuff the Bus” contact 100.7 SAM FM at (270) 842-4487 or visit the stations website at www.bowlinggreensam.com.

Tony Rose will be updating his blog daily from the Bus! Check in and see what is going on in his world!

Also make plans to stop by often to see Tony Rose in his new hot home starting Monday! This is a firstof its kind for Bowling Green...so please help out in this huge fundraising effort!
