Sam's Stuff the Bus

First ever event of its kind will seek donations of school supplies for underprivileged children.

BOWLING GREEN, KY - In an effort to provide local underprivileged children with school supplies, SAM 100.7 FM WKLX has created “Stuff the Bus.” Beginning Monday July 24th, the station will broadcast an around the clock radiothon attempting to fill a school bus with supplies donated by listeners.

“Stuff the Bus” will kick off at 6:00 am, when one of Bowling Green's top radio personalities, Tony Rose, will broadcast his morning show from the bus. Rose has vowed to camp out inside the bus until it is full.

“This event is the first of it's kind in Bowling Green,” said Rose, “I think it will be a lot of fun, and even though I may have to spend a few uncomfortable nights on the bus it's all for a really good cause. We look forward to being able to give these kids the basic tools they need to be successful.”

The event will be held at Bluegrass Cellular on Campbell Lane and will feature around the clock updates of the effort. Listeners will be encouraged to donate basic school supplies that will be made available for families that otherwise would not be able to afford them.

For more information on the first ever “Stuff the Bus” contact 100.7 SAM FM at (270) 842-4487 or visit the stations website at www.bowlinggreensam.com.

Tony Rose will be updating his blog daily from the Bus! Check in and see what is going on in his world!

Also make plans to stop by often to see Tony Rose in his new hot home starting Monday! This is a firstof its kind for Bowling Green...so please help out in this huge fundraising effort!
